Gray Signs+Graphics uses a CJ-500 SolventJet, which is a 52" wide photographic ink jet printer and contour cutter. A great machine, it uses Roland's Piezo print engine built around Epson DX3 print heads.

This machine can print in photographic quality on any number of flexible materials, such as vinyl, banner material, paper, plastic, and more.

It cuts auto tint film, high performance and intermediate vinyl, reflective, fluorescent, and silkscreen films, Rubylith, sandblast mask, heat transfer flock, etc.

 

Insignia Grahpix also uses an Advanced Plotting Devices PD-3000 Extreme Series Vinyl Cutter. In its Tangential Emulation Mode, it cuts intricate detail on thin or thick vinyl or mask.

With its HPGL Open Architecture, it cuts directly from Adobe Illustrator, CorelDraw, even MS Word! It's compatible with the widest possible variety of HPGL sign making and graphics software.

It also cuts auto tint film, high performance and intermediate vinyl, reflective, fluorescent, and silkscreen films, Rubylith, sandblast mask, heat transfer flock, etc.

Up to 52 inches in width, up to any length, limited only by the size of the material roll
Material used for large format printing
An assortment of vinyl, adhesive-backed vinyl, paper, fabric, static-cling plastic, canvas, film, overlaminate film, reflective, fluorescent, and silkscreen films, Rubylith, sandblast mask, heat transfer flock, and many more materials.
Solvent Jet printer
This large printer is an inkjet printer, in principle much like your personal computer's printer, but on a much larger scale. The inks used are permanent inks that are waterproof, and the printing must be done in a well-ventilated area.
